The Elena is a magnificent racing yacht with a fascinating history. Built in 1910 at the request of the wealthy American shipowner Charles A. Smith, this sailing yacht was designed by the famous naval architect John G. Alden. Elena was the first "Bermudian" type schooner to be built for racing in the luxury yacht class.

An interesting anecdote about Elena concerns her role during World War I. After the United States entered the war, the sailboat was requisitioned by the U.S. Navy, which used her for patrol and reconnaissance missions along the East Coast. Despite her military use, Elena also continued to participate in yacht competitions, displaying an impressive performance even in difficult conditions.

Today, Elena of London is often admired for her classic beauty and rich history, and she continues to be a symbol of maritime heritage, recalling the golden age of sailing.
